Welcome to Appetite Theatre Company!
I am thrilled that our founders and company members have entrusted me with the continued artistic growth of Appetite Theatre. We have an exciting year ahead with many wonderful experiences planned for you, our audience, and artistically fulfilling projects for our company members.
Starting in February, you will see monthly Appetite Theatre events, ranging from readings of plays under consideration for our season, to special dinners with our restaurant partners. This summer we will produce our first late-night show—a trilogy of short plays written by David Holstein, one of the writers for the TV show Weeds. We round out the year this fall with Bruschetta, our annual festival of new short plays (incidentally where we first came across the first two plays in Holstein’s trilogy).
If this sounds exciting and you'd like to get involved either in a production, on the board or at an event, please let us know. We welcome your input and look forward to bringing new people into the Appetite family.
Our mission continues to blend the human elements of feast and storytelling in order to drive home the value that these activities impart on our experience. Rest assured, thought provoking contemporary theater presented by emerging artists is still the foundation of the Appetite experience.
