Melissa Matarrese

President

Melissa Matarrese is the Meeting and Marketing Director of the National Council of Structural Engineers Association, a grassroots organization formed to constantly improve the level of standard of practice of the structural engineering profession throughout the United States, and to provide an identifiable resource for those needing communication with the profession. Raised in Lombard, Melissa now lives with her husband near Lincoln Square. She continues to enjoy theatre as she has her whole life, starting with dinner theatre at the Candlelight Dinner Playhouse during grade school to being a subscriber at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre. Melissa has recently left Chicago Shakespeare as Assistant to Front of House Manager to focus on her meeting designation, CMP. Currently Melissa can be found attending and supporting modern dance and storefront theatre performances throughout Chicago in between meals at any new restaurant in the area.



Steve Schnur

Treasurer

Steven D. Schnur is the Head of Trading and Director of Business Operations for 2100 Xenon. Prior to founding Xenon, he was a Vice President in the Financial Futures Sales and Trading Department of Bear Stearns & Co. Inc. Before joining Bear Stearns, he was affiliated with Hammer Trading at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange as an independent market maker in futures and options. Steven received his BA in Statistics from the University of Chicago.



Steve Merle

Steve Merle is the owner and director of Act One Studios. He received his MFA in acting from Columbia University in New York. Steve has appeared in many leading Chicago area theaters including The Goodman Theatre, Northlight Repertory, the Oak Park Shakespeare Festival and the Forum Theatre. Among Steve's favorite roles are Charlie in "The Foreigner", Vershinin in "Three Sisters", Cassius in "Julius Caesar" and Orlando in "As You Like It". A proud member of AEA, AFTRA, and SAG, Steve's commercial clients run to over a hundred and fifty including McDonald's, Ameritech, Illinois Bell, Sears and Johnsonville Bratwurst - which ran for a record breaking 21 years, and can be seen in the "Mums the Word" episode of Early Edition, among others.
